Family Photography
Absolutely! We encourage parents and siblings to be part of the session. To make it easier, we recommend bringing another caregiver who can take siblings to a nearby park or for a break after their photos. This helps keep the session calm and focused on capturing the best moments with your newborn.
Yes! We welcome partners and siblings to join the session for meaningful family moments.
Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, settling and capturing those adorable sleepy poses. We work at baby’s pace, ensuring a relaxed and stress-free experience for both parents and baby.
Prices vary, but a professional maternity session typically starts from $150-$1000, with packages for digital images and prints available.
Since we live in Queensland, where the weather can be unpredictable, we always have a backup plan. If you’ve booked an outdoor session and it rains, we can either:
- Reschedule for another date that suits you, ensuring you still get the perfect conditions for your shoot.
- Move the session to our indoor studio in Flagstone, where we can create a cozy and beautifully lit environment for your portraits.
If the weather is overcast, that’s actually a great bonus for photography, as soft clouds create flattering, diffused lighting with minimal shadows. However, in cases of extreme heat, we may adjust the timing of your session to early morning or late afternoon to avoid discomfort.
Whatever the situation, we’ll communicate with you in advance to ensure your session is a success!
First, don’t stress—this is completely normal! Young children can be unpredictable, but we have plenty of experience working with kids of all ages. The best way to encourage cooperation is to make the experience fun rather than forced.
We recommend talking to your kids beforehand about the session in a positive way. Instead of saying, “You have to behave for the photos,” try, “We’re going on a fun little adventure today with a cool photographer!” Bringing along a favourite toy, a small snack or even playing their favourite songs can help keep them engaged.
We offer family photography sessions across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast. You have the option to choose between:
Outdoor Locations
These create a natural, scenic backdrop for your photos. Popular choices include parks, gardens, beaches and bushland areas.
Your Home
Some families prefer an at-home session for a more personal and comfortable setting. This is ideal if you want to capture everyday moments, like cuddling on the couch, playing in the backyard or baking in the kitchen together.

Our studio offers a controlled environment with professional lighting, perfect for families who prefer a classic portrait session without worrying about weather conditions
We provide everything you need, including blankets, wraps, headbands, outfits, and backdrops. All you need to bring is:
- Baby’s milk (breast or formula)
- A sentimental item (optional, such as a special blanket or heirloom)
- Light clothing for parents (as the studio is kept warm for baby’s comfort)
- Snacks and entertainment for siblings if they’ll be joining the session
Soft pastels, neutrals or bold statement colors are great choices for timeless images.
Choosing the right outfit can make a big difference in how your family photos turn out. The key is to wear coordinated, not matching outfits. Stick to neutral, earthy tones or soft pastels, as they photograph beautifully and ensure the focus remains on your family rather than your clothes. Avoid logos, bold patterns, and bright neon colours, as these can be distracting and take away from the timeless feel of your photos.
Comfort is also important—if you or your children feel uncomfortable in your clothing, it will show in the photos. Choose breathable fabrics, especially if your shoot is outdoors in Queensland’s warm weather. Accessories like hats, scarves, or light layers can add texture to your images. If you’re unsure, feel free to discuss outfit choices with us before your session—we’re happy to help you coordinate the perfect look
The ideal time for a maternity session is between 32-36 weeks when the baby bump is beautifully round but before discomfort sets in.
The best time to book your newborn photography session is during your pregnancy, ideally in your first or second trimester. Newborn sessions are best held within 5-14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and easiest to pose. Since photographers book out months in advance, securing your spot early ensures you don’t miss this precious window.
Business Photography
Absolutely! We offer sessions at our Flagstone Studio, your workplace, or a location that reflects your brand’s style, whether in Logan, Scenic Rim, or beyond.
While selfies are convenient, they often lack the quality, lighting, and composition that a professional headshot provides. A well-crafted headshot helps you convey confidence and professionalism, making it more impactful for career opportunities.

Ask Kylie about our “Same Day Photos”. After the shoot you can view the images on the big screen. Then you can sit back with a drink and relax while I edit them, Ché prints and you get to take everything home on the day!
It’s a good idea to update your headshot every 1-2 years, or whenever your appearance changes significantly. For example, if you change your hair colour or your style shifts, it’s time to refresh your image.
We’ll provide you with a pre-session guide that includes outfit tips, ideas for props, and ways to make the most of your session. Kylie will also guide you through poses and concepts during the shoot.
